The client operated across multiple sites with no unified system — orders arrived via EDI but were manually re-keyed, warehouse staff tracked inventory in spreadsheets with no bin guidance, trucks were dispatched from whiteboards, and accounting entries were created from handwritten notes. On the supply side, large OEM customers demanded Just-in-Time delivery, requiring the client to plan 3–6 months ahead with suppliers across USA, Mexico, Canada, China, India, and other global locations while managing re-manufacturing workflows. The process was error-prone and impossible to scale.
We designed and built a full ERP from the ground up: a 6-month forward EDI planning engine to coordinate JIT demand from OEM customers with multi-origin supplier procurement, a barcode-driven FIFO warehouse module with handheld device integration that guided warehouse staff to the exact bin and pick quantity in real time, large-screen warehouse dashboards showing incoming truck schedules, pull lists, and countdown timers, a truck management module for outbound dispatch and load planning, a configurable reporting engine for cross-functional decision support, and a bi-directional accounting integration for automatic invoice creation and reconciliation.
